Michael Coldiron, OTD, OTR/L, CAS

Dr. Coldiron is an Occupational Therapist and native of Somerset, Kentucky. He specializes in Pediatric Occupational Therapy with additional certifications in Autism and Feeding Programs. He practices a variety of approaches including motor, sensory, and behavioral. Michael is most passionate about client-centered care, which is why he believes in working closely with all members of the multidisciplinary team, including speech/language pathologists, physical therapists, mental health professionals, and physicians to have the greatest impact on the patient’s unique goals. He believes quality therapy is not commonly found and strives to be a leader in his field to provide that to all of his patients. When he is not working or serving his community, Michael enjoys spending time with his wife and children, fishing, playing music, cooking, and spending time on his farm.

 

 Laura Pope, PT

Laura is a Pediatric Physical Therapist. She graduated from the University of Louisville Physical Therapy program in 1987.  She completed her Neuro-Developmental Treatment (NDT) certification in 1994. This certification was in the area of evaluating and treating children with neuro-muscular and orthopedic issues. Her passion is to provide the highest quality treatment for children of all ages. She has taken many hours of continuing education in the area of pediatrics in order to stay current with the latest research and innovations related to treating children with neuro-motor and orthopedic issues. Laura has lived and worked in the Somerset area for many years. She is married to Mike and together they have two sons, each married, and two beautiful grandchildren. Laura enjoys teaching children in her church, cooking, and being with her family.

 Jennifer Lockard, OTR/L

Jennifer is one of our Occupational Therapists. She graduated Eastern Kentucky University in 2002 with a Bachelor of Science in Occupational Therapy. Before joining our team in 2018, Jennifer had many years of experience including TJ Sampson Community Hospital, School based OT at Adair Co. Schools, and Somerset Rehab Services Inc. where Jennifer owned and contracted OT services at Adair Co. Schools, Interpid Home Health, and Kentucky First Steps Intervention Services, until 2020. Jennifer has taken many continued education courses over the years including those of Autism Spectrum Disorder, Sensory processing difficulties, Early Intervention, and Feeding/Eating difficulties. She enjoys working with children in areas of sensory processing, feeding/eating difficulties, and early intervention. When she is not taking her children to sporting events, she enjoys vacationing, shopping, gardening, and spending time with family.  

Leah Sizemore, OTR/L 

Leah is an Occupational Therapist. She obtained her Master of Science in Occupational Therapy from Eastern Kentucky University and has been working with us since she completed her fieldwork rotation, under Dr. Michael Coldiron, in 2018. Leah is especially talented with teaching activities of daily living and tailoring each session to her client’s interest. In her free time, Leah enjoys spending time with friends, family, and her dogs!

Cheyenne Chaney, M.A., CCC-SLP

Cheyenne is a pediatric Speech-Language Pathologist. She graduated from Eastern Kentucky University in 2017 with a Bachelor of Science in Communication Disorders, followed by her Master of Arts in Education & Rank 1 in 2019. She began working as an SLP with us in June of 2019 and has been with us since. Cheyenne enjoys working with young toddlers on language skills with play-based therapy and infant swallowing/feeding skills, but she is qualified to provide interventions across the lifespan. Cheyenne is also certified to provide treatment for motor speech disorders, fluency, neurological communication disorders, augmentative & alternative communication (AAC), articulation, and voice disorders, & is certified to complete Modified Barium Swallow Studies (MBSS). In her free time, Cheyenne enjoys running & taking group fitness classes, traveling, shopping, & spending time on Lake Cumberland. 

 Sheila Ping, M.S., CCC-SLP

Sheila is a Pediatric Speech Pathologist and graduated from Western Kentucky University in 1993 with her Bachelor of Science in Communication Disorders, followed by her Master of Science and Rank One in Communication Disorders in 2002. She retired from Kentucky Public Schools in 2021, where she spent 28 years practicing as a Speech Language Pathologist Assistant (1993-2002) and a Speech Language Pathologist (2002-2021). She has also worked with Kentucky First Steps and in the Private sector, giving her experience with all ages as well as all disorders/disabilities. In her free time, she enjoys watching Titans football, cooking, shopping, and spending time with friends and family. 

Caroline Coldiron, M.A., CCC-SLP

Caroline is the newest member of our team. She obtained her Master of Science in  Speech-Language Pathology from Eastern Kentucky University in May of 2023. Caroline is a native of Somerset, KY, and is excited to complete her clinical fellowship year here at Total Pediatrics. Caroline is especially excited to build relationships with her clients and their families and finds interest in early childhood language and literacy as well as infant swallowing and feeding. 

 Lori Meece, PT, DPT 

Lori has recently joined our team as a pediatric physical therapist! Lori graduated from the University of Kentucky with her Doctorate in Physical Therapy in 2013 and has been practicing in many diverse settings including 5 years of pediatrics! Lori is married with two boys, Jackson and Maddox, and a goldendoodle named Charlie. When she is not at the ballpark or the gym, she is doing ALL the baseball/basketball mom things with her children! Lori loves to travel and is highly involved in church, singing, and playing piano.
